My Running Playlist—195 Days until Dopey Challenge

Today, the East Coast woke up to a truly beautiful summer day. I couldn’t wait to get out and run. It’s breezy and warm; just perfect!

It’s not just weather that makes me happy to run. I need music. If it wasn’t for my running playlist, I would not be able to move forward. Right now I’m at 139 songs—9 hours—which could easily get me through a marathon.

I am someone who dislikes sitting still and all the songs on my playlist inspire me to move.

This will get you out of the Epcot parking lot, for sure.

One problem with the Disney World runs is that a lot of your time is spent running on back roads and highways, and it is boring. Like, crazy boring and very crowded. You need your own tunes.

I think this is one of the many songs that made my mother yell, “make it lower!”

It’s important to have mixed tempos for your music, and, in fact, one of my favorite ways to do intervals is to follow the beat of different songs.

Takes you out of your body in one way, but into your body in another.

If you have any great running song suggestions, send them to me! Because I need 48.6 miles worth of songs for the Dopey Challenge!

So true. So good.

I just noticed that I did Week Three and skipped Week Two! Yeesh. I’ll start Week Two tomorrow.
