One of my friends asked what books I’m bringing on my trip, and so here they are, and I haven’t started them yet.
The first is Paris in the Present Tense by Mark Helprin, who also wrote Winter’s Tale. The novel take place just a few years ago and is the story of a French cellist who survived the Holocaust (he was a little boy).

Now, of course, we cannot visit the cathedral because of the 2019 fire. The first time I visited Paris, I read The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo, which I loved. I don’t think we are going to visit the Victor Hugo museum, but I cannot wait to walk around Place des Vosges, where Hugo lived.
Finally, I downloaded Nana by Emile Zola, but instead of showing information about Zola, I think this is much more fun! If you haven’t watched Emily in Paris, you should, even though it’s idiotic and her clothes are ridiculous.
